Differences persist. parliament still hasn’t met (DEVELOPING STORY)

Kathmandu, 28 May: Parliament hasn’t convened until one in the afternoon even five hours after its scheduled meeting because of persisting differences between three major parties Friday.
Maoists issued a whip of its lawmakers to vote against a government bill Friday to extend the tenure of CA by one year ma standing committee meet.
Only 11 hours remain to approve the bill by midnight.
The UML leading the 22-party coalition and the party of beleaguered Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal said it was ready to adopt ‘maximum flexibility’ to ‘take any decision to stop dissolution’
The party decided to vote for the government bill.
Another ruling party NC decided to vote for the extension of theca tenure asking the premier not to resign by succumbing to Maoist pressure.

Lightning kills two, injures four farmers in Jhapa

Kathmandu, 28 May: A lightning killed two farmers, including a woman, was they planting paddy at Maharang in Jhapa Friday.
Four others were injured.
