Parliament session again adjourned until Friday [DEVELOPING STORY]
Kathmandu, 26May: A session of parliament was again adjourned Wednesday by posting a notice on the board until Friday without meeting.
The legislature was to discuss an 8th amendment government bill to amend the constitution to extend the CA session for another one year after the one-year tenure of the assembly ends Friday.
The CA was to discuss a Maoist opposition to the bill as well.
The session was adjourned after three major parties failed again Wednesday to end an extended political deadlock in their first round meeting Wednesday’ the parties are to meet again at five in the afternoon.
The bill will have to be approved by midnight Friday now only through a short debate to avoid a constitutional and political crisis.
