200 Nepalese return home from Meghalaya
Kathmandu, 26 May: Over200 Nepali speaking people who had been living in the northeastern Indian state of Meghalaya on Tuesday entered Nepal through the Kakarvittsa checkpost, RSS reports from Kakarvitta in Jhapa.
The Nepali speaking people has fled the Indian state after the ethnic Khasis of Meghalaya ordered them to leave the village they had been living in.
The Nepalis said they had no choice but to flee the state and save their lives.

British minister arrives Wednesday
Kathmandu, 26 May: British Minister for International Development Alan Duncan arrives Wednesday foe consultations with government for a two-day visit as Nepal heads for a constitutional and political crisis by the failure to promulgate a constitution by the 28 May deadline.
He’ll also hold discussions with Maoist Chairman who is also leader of the main opposition party.
“We are delighted that the minister has chosen Nepal for his firs overseas visit. This underpins the UK government’s continued commitment and support to Nepal’s development,” DFID Chief Sarah Sanyagymbi said in a statement.
Duncan will familiarize himself with the UK’s development programmes in Nepal and lend his government’s support to Nepal’s peace process, a DFD Nepal statement said.

Govt. objects EU meet with rebel groups
Kathmandu, 26 May: Foreign ministry Tuesday to EU parliamentary delegation’s meetings with rebel Limbuwan and Khumbuwan groups and could adversely affect Nepal/EU relations.
‘These groups are neither in the constituent assembly nor are political and civil organizations.
“Such meetings are against the established diplomatic norms and international practices and are likely to have serious repercussions on bilateral relations between Npal and European Union,” the statement warned.
