UML demand for PM’s resignation serious issue; other developments (DEVELOPING STORY)

Kathmandu, 2 May: UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokhrel told Radio Nepal Sunday a demand by 60 lawmakers demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal was ‘serious’ and will be taken up officially in the ruling party of the government chief.
Pokhrel said there were internal party procedures to present views and added the demand was against the official decision of the party.
The party has asked the prime minister to address the nation as Maoists demanded his resignation.
Several UML lawmakers Sunday dissociated from the resignation call sent by e-main to the prime minister, according to Pokhrel.
Chairman Khanal expressed surprise he received the memorandum through e-mail through e-mail.
