Political treachery says Maoists (DEVELOPING STORY)

Kathmandu, 3 June: Maoist Chairman Prachanda Thursday said the continuation of Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal in office after Wednesday was ‘political treachery’ and a violation of an agreement.
He said this in a statement after a party standing committee meeting.
A scheduled three-party meeting of Maoists, UN and UML wasn’t held until 6.30 in the evening after a flare-up of differences six days after the Friday agreement..
Ruling parties put responsibility on Maoists for fresh disagreements.
Meanwhile, Maoist leader Deb Gurung Thursday objected the winter session was prorogued without consultation with the main opposition.

Krishna Prasad Bhattarai’s condition normal

Kathmandu, 3 June: Krishna Prasad Bhattarai’s condition is normal, Norvic Hospital said Thursday.
He is 86.
He was admitted to hospital at three in the afternoon complaining of weakness and lack of appetite.
He is being treated at a cabin there.
Bhattarai is revered for guiding the country in one year from absolute monarchy and a partyless Panchayat system to multi-party democracy and constitutional monarchy in 1990 in a one-year transition ‘managed and owned by Nepalis’.
Girija Prasad Koirala engineered his defeat in the first multi-party elections to usurp Nepali Congress and government leadership by conspiring his defeat to UML leader Madan Bhandari from a Kathmandu constituency.
The second transition in 20 years from a constitutional monarchy to a republic has entered its fifth year without a proclamation of a republican constitution.
People and the economy are suffering the uncertain long transition.
