Political gridlock continues; other details

Kathmandu, 4 July: A year-old political gridlock continued Sunday without an agreement insight to form a consensus urged by President Dr Ram Baran Yadav last week.
The three main parties have until Wednesday to assemble such a government, but a breakthrough isn’t in sight as Nepali Congress, Maoists and UML continued their government making efforts Sunday.
Prime Minister Mahav Kumar Nepal charged Maoists were a hurdle to an understanding while speaking in the capital Sunday.
He said the main opposition hadn’t efforted to dismantled its YCL and integrate 19,000 combatants even after his resignation as promised by Maoists.

Three parties continued dialogue Sunday to form a consensus government with each party claming leadership of the government.
But three parties after a meeting Sunday agreed to draw up a schedule to draft a constitution within the next 11 months.
The parties are meeting again Monday to pursue constitution drafting talks.
