President asks speaker to begin process to elect majority govt. (DEVELOPING STORY)

Kathmandu, 12 July: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav asked Speaker Subash Nemwang to begin process of forming a majority government Monday evening.
No deadline has been set.
The presidential move came after three major political parties failed to assemble a consensus government in two presidential deadlines over 12 days.
The speaker is now expected to consult paliament’s business advisory committee to begin the election process.

New consular fees from Tuesday 13 July 2010
Kathmandu, 12 July: New fees for Immigrant Visas will go into effect on July 13, 2010m US embassy said.
Fees for Non-Immigrant Visas were increased on June 4, 2010. The revised fees are the same worldwide and cover actual operating expenses for the 301 overseas consular posts, 23 domestic passport agencies and other centers that provide these consular services. The new Immigrant Visa fees are:
