7TH ROUND VOTING INCONCLUSIVE
Kathmandu, 7 Sept.: Seventh round voting for prime minister was also inclusive Tuesday and the eight round vote will be held Sunday 26 September, Speaker Subash Nemwang announced.
Caretaker Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, who has been holding fort for more then two months after resignation, will continue in office till then.
Only 252 persons voted for Maoist Chairman Prachanda while 110 lawmakers voted against and 154 lawmakers stayed neutral among the 521 legislators who participated in the division.
NC Vice-president Ram Chandra Paudel received 119 votes, 245 legislators votes against and 151 persons stayed neutral among the 515 lawmakers who participated in the division.
The process will be endless without the two candidates withdrawing their candidacies; both parties said they will continue the staggered process.
Although Maoist Chairman Prachandaa had said he would withdraw his candidacy if the6th round wasn’t going to be conclusive, the main opposition fielded Prachanda in the parliamentary vote.
Parliament has 599 members and a candidate has to collect a majority vote of the total membership of the parliament to be elected.

21 families ask for search
Kathmandu, 7 Sept.: Twenty-one families have asked police in Sindhupalchowk to intensify a search persons feared killed when a bus plunged into Bhote Kosi river in the district Monday, police said.
Only five bodies have been recovered and three persons swam to safety.

Finance minister Pandey presents 1st amendment to finance bill
Kathmandu, 7 Sept.: Finance Minister Surendra Pandey Tuesday presented the 1st amendment to the finance act 2067 empowering government to raise tariff on gold import.
The amendment was presented in parliament with the prevision of Speaker Subash Nemwang immediately after an inconclusive vote for prime minister.
