Agni Air voice recorder also recovered

Kathmandu, 1 Sept.: Agni Air Dronier voice recorder was also recovered Wednesday embedded 16 feet underground at the crash site in Makwanpur south of the capital.
It was dug out by an excavator indicating the huge impact created when the German-built aircraft nosedived killing 14 passengers and crew members 24 August.
The aircraft was ferrying passengers to Lukla from the capital.
The black box was recovered Tuesday.
The flight data recorder records the conversation of the pilot mainly with the tower at TIA,
With the recovery of the two items, investigators will have basis to determine the reasons for the crash.

Garbage disposal handed over to security personnel

Kathmandu, 1 Sept.: Authorities Wednesday handed over responsibilities o clear more than 400 tons of daily garbage from the Valley’s three cities from Thursday.
Two settlements at neighbouring Nuwakot have been obstructing the disposal of the waste for more than a week at Sisdole.
The garbage will be dumped at a site in the Valley.

Sadikshya Shrestha Miss Nepal 2010

Kathmandu, 1 Sept.: Sadikshya Shrestha was selected Wednesday Miss Nepal 2010 and will represent Nepsl at the Miss Universe contest in China later this year.
Sahana Bajracharya was 1st runner-up and Samyukta Timalshina 2nd runner-up.
