PRESIDENT ASKS PM, THREE PARTY LEADERS TO BE SERIOUS
Kathmandu, 19 Oct.: Ceremonial President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav to Shital Niwas and told them to be serious resolving a prolonged political deadlock.
He summoned Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Maoist Chairman Prachanda, NC President Sushil Koirala and UML Chairman Jhalalanath Khanal to alert them to an impending financial and constitutional crisis.
NC President Koirala said after the two-hour collective meeting the parties committed themselves to a package solution to end the deadlock through h dialogue and discussion.
In effect, there was no breakthrough.
A meeting of Maoist office bearers Tuesday agreed to find alternative ways to bring a full budget for 2010/11 while insisting a caretaker government can’t bring a full budget.
Maoists said only a a replace government of a caretaker government can bring a full budget calling for its formation Tuesday.

MOTHER. TWO CHILDREN SWEPT AWAY BY RIVER
Kathmandu, 19 Oct. A mother and two children aged nine and one year were swept away by a river in Khotang.

FOUR NEPALIS KILLED IN SAUDI ARABIA
Kathmandu, 19 Oct.: Four Nepalirailway workers were killed and one was injured near Rhiyad, Saudi Arabia.
One Indian labourer was also killed.

THREE NEPALI MAOISTS ARRESTED IN INDIA
Kathmandu, 19 Oct. Three Nepali Maoists were arrested by Indian police at Balmikinagar in Bihar for allegedly helping Naxalites or Indian Maoists.
Those arrested have been identified as Ram Tharu, Jit Bahadur Chaudhary and Kabindra Chaudhari, all residents of Prasauni VDC 3 of Nawalparasi..
Leaflets of the Naxalies and other documents were recovered from the trio.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against them.
India was a safe haven for Nepal’s Maoists during he 10-year insurgency.
New Delhi helped Maoists to enter the political mainstreat but dosn;t negotiate with its own rebels.

Kathmandu, Scottish national has gone missing in Phewa Lake in Pokhara since Monday, RSS reports from Pokhara.
The 49-year-old Grem Baz fell into the lake and went missing while he was coming to Baidam from the Lizzie Garden on a boat, according to the police. He was living at the Hotel Kailash.
Search for the missing was underway, said spokesperson of the District Police Office Kaski, Bishwa Raj Adhikari.
Meanwhile, 24 -year-old Rafehaol James Fredrick from Britain died in a fall from he third floor of Hotel Royal Grand at Thamel on Monday night.
He died while undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital.
