PRESIDENT, LIKE KINGS, VISITS BHAGAWATI TEMPLES

Kathmandu, 16 Oct.: Like former kings, President Dr Ram Baran Yadav Friday morning began visiting Bhagawati temples in the capital to offer prayer and worship on Mahaasthami on the 7th day of Dasain.
He began his worship of Bhagawati temples from Naxal, Maiti Debi and Shankata from nine in the morning as other devotees were also making offerings.
People had to make way for the president who received tika, garlands and prasad from priests after completing his prayer an worship.
The president Thursday didn’t visit Hanuman Dhoka from Tundikhel, like past kings, when Phulpati was brought there from Gorkha at the Dasain Ghar in the palace.
The president attended the Nepal Army function at the parade ground to mark Phulpati.
