TARA AIR AIRCRAFT HAS GONE MISSING

Kathmandu, 15 Dec.: A Tara Air aircraft with 19 passengers and three crew members that took off for the capital from Khotang airportat Lamidanda at 3.08 in the afternoon hasn’t landed in the TIA until 4.30 when it was scheduled to land.
The aircraft was piloted by Capt. Anpu Sakya.
Onboard were 18 Nepali passengers and a foreigner, Avenues Television said
No reports were received of the aircraft landing at other airports until five in the afternoon.
The aircraft lost contact with air traffic controllers shortly after takeoff.
A pilot and flight engineer were killed on a rescue mission in the Everest region more than one month ago.
