Kathmandu, 17 April: NSP member of constituent assembly Shyam Sundar Gupta was suspended membership of the body Sunday.
The assembly was executing an order of the supreme court.
He was nominated from the terai party when Grija Prasad Koirala was prime minister.

Kathmandu, 17April: Leading entrepreneur Bijaya Gajananda Vaidhya died Sunday.
He was 84 and was suffering brain tumor, Radio Nepal.

GOVT. GRANTS RS 1.5 BILLION TO NOC FOR POL IMPORT

Kathmandu, 17 April: Government Sunday extended Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) a Rs. 1.5 billion loan to import POL products from India, the state monopoly said.
India had reduced exports40 percent following non-payment of dues creating shortage.
Supply should be normalized Monday, NOC officials said.

INDIAN FOREIGN MINISTER BEGINS FOUR-DAY VISIT WEDNESDAY

Kathmandu, 17 April: Indian Foreign Minister SM Krishna Begins a four-day visit Wednesday, foreign ministry said Sunday.
He’ll be the senior most Indian official to visit after the installation of a majority government of Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal 3 February.
Khanal’s India visit will be discussed during the visit.
