SUB-COMMITTEE UNDER PRACHANDA TO MEET

Kathmandu, 15 April: An empowered Prachanda-led sub-committee to resolve contentious articles for incorporation in a constitution meets later Friday following a meeting between constituent assembly chairman Subash Nemwang the Maoist
Chief, Nemwang said.
The second 15-day tenure of the sub-committee ended Thursday without conducting a single meeting.
A constitution has to be promulgated 28 may and the deadline won’t be met again.
Prachanda walked of the empowered sub-committee with representatives of the
Big Three saying he had a busy schedule but agreed to head it at the request of other
parties.
Prachanda suggested his party Vice-chairman Narayaan Kazi Shrestha replace
Him inthe sub-committee.

NEPAL, US TRADE ACCORD

Kathmandu, 15 April: Nepal and USA are signing
Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TAF) in Washington Friday.
Deputy Prime Minister and finance Minister Bharat Mohan Adhikari and US Trade Representative Ron Kirk are signing the accord to promote bilateral business ties.
