PRIME MINISTER PROPOSES PROROGUING PARLIAMENT WINTER SESSION

Kathmandu, 22 April: Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal Friday proposed proroguing the current winter session of parliament at a meeting with President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav .
Khanal discussed recent political developments and his effort to expand government with the ceremonial president as well.

RAM CHANDRA PAUDEL, KRISHNA PRASAD SHITAULA NOMINATIONS FINALLY CONFIRMED

Kathmandu, 22 April: NC nomination of Ram Chandra Paudel and Krishna Prasad Shitaula as party vice-president and general secretary was finally endorsed by the elected central committee members of NC Friday.
The nominations were endorsed four months after appointments by President Sushil Koirala amid opposition from the Sher Bahadur Deuba camp.
Influential committee member and Deuba supporter Khum Bahadur Khanda supported Koirala’s nominations.
