CA TERM TO BE EXTENDED BY THREE MONTHS ONLY (BREAKING NEWS)

Kathmandu, 29 May: Parliament Sunday morning approved by two-third majority a 9th amendment bill to extend the constituent assembly (CA) tenure by three months only; its extended one-year term ended midnight Saturday.
Altogether 504 lawmakers voted for the government bill and four against.
The bill was passed following a five-point agreement with the Big Three—Maoists, NC and UML.
RPP-Nepal voted against the bill and Madeshbadi Front with 71 seats stayed neutral .
A preliminary draft of the constitution will be written and integration of 19,000 plus Maoist former combatants will be completed in the next three months.
Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal will to pave the way for a national government and past agreements with Madeshbadi parties will be implemented effectively.
The Big Three also agreed in their five-point agreement to mend the constitution again.
