FURTHER DETAILS OF POLITICAL BREAKTHROUGH

Kathmandu, 29 May: Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal said he’ll resign following the breakthrough b ending a protracted political deadlock.
“I’ll resign when an environment is created for development of a national government, the government chief who is also UML Chairman said.
“The prime minister has to resign soonest,” parliamentary party leader of main opposition NC Ram Chandra Paudel said.
He said former 19,000 Maoist combatants in 28 cantonments and satellite camps will be ‘separated into ’two groups’ for integration and resettlement.
He said ‘five to seven thousand fighters’ will be integrated in Nepal Army.
“New phase of national politics has begun,” said NC Chief Whip Laxman Ghimere.
Nepal Army ‘inclusiveness’ is mentioned in the 5-point agreement after five-party Loktantrik Madeshbadi Front demanded integration of 10,000 Madeshis in state army in phases.
Maoist Chairman Prachanda, NC President Sushil Koirala and Prime MinisterKhanal and UML Chairman signed the five-point agreement.

332 PRISONERS RELEASED ON FOURTH REPUBLIC DAY

Kathmandu, 29 May: Altogether 332 prisoners who completed half their prison sentences were released on 4th republic day Sunday
Sunday was declared a public holiday.
Parliament was declared a republic three years ago.
But it hasn’t been institutionalized in a constitution.
