EU WELCOMES ASSEMBLY TERM EXTENSION

Kathmandu, 30 May: Ambassadors of EU, Norway and Switzerland welcomed the extension constituent assembly (CA) term extension.
“We urge the political parties to ensure that the agreements they have reached on the integration and rehabilitation of the former UCPN (Maoist) combatants are brought to a successful conclusion.
‘The EU, Norway and Switzerland, as long friends of Nepal, reaffirm their full support for support for the peace process.
“The aspirations of the Nepali people can only be met if their representatives forge consensus that will bring a new constitution, peace, stability and prosperity,” the statement said.

YCL TAPLEJUNG CADRE KILLED

Kathmandu, 30 May: Bhuban Limbu, 23, a YCL cadre, was killed in a scuffle at a wedding party in Taplegunj Saturday.
Two others were injured.
