Kathmandu, 7 May: Maoist leader Bindeshwor Mahoto was shot dead at Rampur Birta-5 in Siraha overnight.
His body, riddles with two bullets has been kept at Lahan Hospital for postmortem.

NO DISPUTE IN UCPN-M OVER HOME PORTFOLIO SAYS MOHAN BAIDYA





Kathmandu, 7 May: - A new debate on issues of proportional and inclusive representation has cropped up in UCPN-Maoist and Madheshi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) following the latest expansion of the Cabinet, The Rising Nepal reports.
Maoist vice-chairman Mohan Baidhya ‘Kiran’ has warned of struggling within his party complaining that the formation of the present Council of Ministers has failed to uphold the principle proportional and inclusive representation while MJF’s women wing has submitted a memorandum to the MJF chairman and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav to uphold the principle.
Talking to journalists after he released ‘Samar Ka Smritiharu’ written by Shova Kattel, the Maoist vice-chairman said Friday that he was in struggle citing the representation of women in the present Cabinet was poor.
He objected to his party’s negligence to uphold the reservation of 33 percent seats to the women as enshrined in the interim constitution. "The other parties have been neglecting the reservation, but this time even our party has ignored it."
Saying that he had serious discussions with party chairman prachanda to make the Cabinet inclusive and efficient, Kiran also claimed that his party was not given respectable role in the present government.
"Discussions are under way and we would act according to the outcome," Kiran responded when asked if he would lobby for calling back the ministers if his concerns were ignored by the party.
"There is no dispute in our party over the selection of ministers for Home and other portfolios. The point is the Cabinet should be inclusive and talented should be included."
Newly appointed Minister for Industry and Commerce Mahendra Paswan and Minister for Women, Children and Social Jaya Puri Gharti, both of whom are supposed to be close to Kiran, have so far not taken oath of office and secrecy.
Similarly, the Madheshi Women Forum, MJF’s women wing, submitted him a memorandum reminding him that he failed to nominate the ministers from the party adopting the principle of inclusiveness.
They have also demanded for 33 per cent representation of women in the Cabinet and asked the chairman to select women for the remaining one ministry out of four as allocated to the party. The MJF was warded with four ministries as per agreement between two ruling parties, CPN-UML and the Maoists, and MJF. name from his recommendation for ministers following objections
MJF chairman Yadav had withdrawn MJF women leader Renu Yadav’s from his party leaders Rajlal Yadav and Ram Sahaya Yadav.
