SUSPECTS OF FATAL CAPITAL SHOOTINGS ARRESTED

Kathmandu, 11 May: Raju Dangol, Ashok Gole and Bijayawnta Sharma were presented by police Wednesday before the media for their alleged involvement in fatal shootings in the capital this year.
Three others are absconding, police said.
Prem Krishna Maharjan (22), was shot dead in Teku on 25 March; Indian businessman Anjani Kumar Chachan was shot dead several days later at Ganabahal amid deteriorating law and order situation .

PARLIAMENT AGREES TO DISCUSS RASHTRIYA DALIT AYOG BILL

Kathmandu, 11 May: Parliament agreed Wednesday to discuss a Rashtriya Dalit Ayog bill which was later sent to a constitutional committee for detailed discussion.
A bill was presented by Local Development Minister Urmila Aryal.
Speaker Subash Nemwang continued with the house session despite obstruction of proceedings by five lawmakers from small parties, including Dalts and Muslims demanding quota and proportional representation in government agencies.
The session was adjourned until Sunday.
