SAARAC GENERAL SECRETARY ON REGIONAL TOUR

Kathmandu, 11 June: SAARC General Secretary Uz Fathimath D.Saeed left Friday for a visit of member states, Naya Patrika reports.
She is also requesting Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Afghanistan to create a position for deputy general secretary along with specialists at headquarters.
The secretary general is visiting member states attempting to make the South Asian regional organization more effective.
She held discussions with Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal before embarking on a visit Friday.

POACHER ADMITS KILLING NINE RHINOS

Kathmandu, 11 June: Bal Bahadur Chepang, 40,of Korak-9, Chitwan, who was arrested along with a rhino horn in Dhading on Thursday has admitted to killing nine endangered rhinos in the jungles of Chitwan National Park, The Kathmandu Post reports from Dhading.
