FOREIGN MINISTER GOING ABROAD FOR VISIT

Kathmandu, 21 June: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Upendra
Yadav is leaving for his first 12-day foreign trip Thursday after assuming office for the second time.
He’ll visit Iran, Belgium and Lithuania to attend international conferencesm foreign ministry sources said.
Yadav will attend an anti-terrorism during his two-day stay in Iran.

ANOTHER SHOOTING INCIDENT IN CAPITAL

Kathmandu, 21 June: An another shooting incident
in the capital amid increased deteriorating law and order situation, two masked nd yet unidentified motorcyclists entered the reception of
a manpower company at Lazimpat Monday and decamped after firing a pistol.
Nobody was injured in two rounds of firing.
A security guard overpowered one of the shooters who managed to free himself.

Us TEAM IN TOWN TO STUDY SECURITY SITUATION FOR RETURN OF PEACE CORPS

Kathmandu, 21 June: A US security team from the State Department is in town to review the security situation for the return of Peace Corps volunteers who withdrew seven years ago during then 10-year Maoist insuirgency.
The team led by US Ambassador Scott H. DeLisi, reviewed the overall security situation with Home Minister Krishna Bahaudur Mahara Monday.
“The minister told the team the security situation has improved at present and there’s no obstruction for the return of the Peace Corps,” Manoj Ghartimager quoted theminister as telling the review team.
Peace Corps returned home after a Nepali security guard at the US embassy was killed and the Public Affairs Office at Gyaneshwor was attacked.
