Kathmandu, 19 July: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bharat Mohan Adhikari was admitted to hospital Tuesday.
Adhikari, who is asthmatic, complained of stomach problem.

GORKHALAND TERRITORIAL ADMINISTRATION ANNOUNCED

Kathmandu, 19 July: India signed a :historic’ deal today [Monday] granting autonomy to an ethnic group in the Himalayan tea –growing area of Darjeeling that has fought for decades for a homeland, AFP reports from Kolkata.
The agreement between the federal government, the state of West Bengal and Gorkha Janamukti Morcham a political group leading the Gorkha protestors was sealed in the scenic village of Pintail, about 600 km from Kolkata.
Indian Gokhas, who are ethnic Nepalis, have led a violent campaign since the 1980s demanding that the separate state of Gorkhaland be carved out of West Bengal’s mountainous district of Darjeeling.
‘There is nothing to fear…Bengal is not being divided. Darjeeling is close to our heart and it will now smile,” newly elected West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata said describing it as a ’historic day’.
