EXPLANATIONS SOUGHT FROM TWO MJFL LAWMAKERS

Kathmandu, 11 July: Clarifications have been sought from two lawmakers of MJFL for developing affinity with the ruling UCPN (Maoist), according to MJFL leader Ramjanam Chaudhary.
Explanations have been sought from Ramananda Mandal and Karina Begum.
Mandal received the letter from the opposition party Sunday,
A notice will be published in newspapers Monday after Begum refused to accept the explanation from the party.

PRISONER FOUND DEAD IN CENTRAL JAIL

Kathmandu, 11 July: Ganesh Bahadur Tamang was found dead in the toilet of the high security Central Jail in the capital Sunday.
Tamang’s body was found hanging from the window of the toilet.
He laws transferred May 3 from a jail in Chitwan.
Tamang has been charged for dealing in rhino horns,

PM KHANAL SCHEDULED TO ATTEND SEPT. ANNUAL UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY SESSION

Kathmandu, 11 July: Embattled Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal is expected to attend the September annual UN general assembly session, his Foreign Affairs Advisor Milan Tuladhar said Monday,
He’ll also attend the high-level symposium on nuclear safety.
“The prime minister is confident that his government will make it to the post August 28 period, and as such, decided to visit New York,” an unidentified Khanal aide told The Kathmandu Post.
A constitution has to be promulgated by that deadline.
