MAOIST CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEETS SUNDAY

Kathmandu, 17 July: Maoist central committee meets at on in the afternoon Sunday, Secretary Post Bahadur Bogati said.
The standing committee is to meet ahead of the central committee meeting to set an agenda.
Committee meetings have been repeatedly called off citing inadequate homework.
Chairman Prachanda’s leadership is being challenged by factions led by Vice-chairman Mohan Maidya and Dr Baburam Bhattarai who have come together latety.
They are demanding the Maoist chief share party responsibilities.
The central committee last met last 24 June.
