SHER BAHADUR DEUBA STAKES A CLAIM TO LEAD GOVT.

Kathmandu, 12 July: Three-time former prime minister and senior main opposition leader Sher Bahadur Deuba Monday staked a claim to lead a national government.
Deuba said only a NC-led government can complete the peace process and constitution drafting.
There’s no alternative to a NC-led government, he said in the capital Monday, and asked Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal to resign to pave the way for a successor government.
The senior NC leader staked the claim even as Ram Chandra Paudel is Vice-chairman and leader of the parliamentary party.
Maoists have also staked a claim to lead a government amid intense rivalry between Chairman Prachanda and Vice-chairman Dr.. Baburam Bhattarai.

TRANSPORT STRIKE DISRPUTS NORMAL LIFE IN FAR-WEST
Kathmandu, 11 July: An indefinite strike launched Monday by the Far-West regional committee of Federation of Nepal Transportation National Entrepreneurs brought themovement on vehicles to a stop.
Travelers have been inconvenienced as they have stuck at hotels and lodges in urban centers.
The strike was called demanding cancellation of a new transport committee registered with Dadeldhura administration office.

HARISAINI EKADASHI OBSERVED
Kathmandu, 11 July: Harisaini ekadashi was observed by Hindus Monday.
They visited Bishnu temples and planted tulsi.
Devotees offered players at four Narayan temples in the Valley.
