ANOTHER GIRL ABDUCTED, SHOT DEAD IN VALLEYI

PM KHANAL, PRACHANDA MEET DISCUSS CHINESE INVESTMENT ON LUMBINI

Kathmandu, 10 Aug.: Maoist Chairman Prachanda briefed ailing Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal Wednesday on the outcome of his visit to Malaysia where he, as vice-chairman of Asia Pacific Council for Economic Exchange, participated in the Kong Kong-based Chinese INGO meet.
The body plans to invest billions of rupees for the development of Lumbini, the birthplace of The Buddha.
The leaders of the two ruling communist parties also discussed peace and constitution, an aide of the prime minister said.
Chinese Ambassador Yang Houlan Tuesday confirmed the INGO’s investment and blamed tourism ministry for confusion around the proposed Chinese investment.

ANOTHER GIRL ABDUCTED, KILLED IN VALLEY

Kathmandu, 10 Aug.: Body of Raju Maharjan,20, abducted and shot dead was recovered by police Wednesday in a forest in forest Lalitpur.
Police Wednesday produced before media Subash Upretim,21,Anchit Khadka and Hussain Rai for their possible involvement in the murder,
Suspects Kumar Ale and Raju Lohar are absconding.
Maharjan was abducted Friday and a Rs.3 million ransom was demanded from the family.

SUSPENDED SP GUPTA BAHADUR SHRESTHA CLEARED BY SPECIAL COURT
Kathmandu, 10 Aug.: Suspended SP Gupta Bahadur Shreshta of Nepal Police was released by a special court Wednesday and was cleared of charges while being directed to appear before the court when required.
He was accused by CIAA in a Rs. 280 million Sudan armoured personnel carriers (APC) purchase for police peacekeepers in Sudan with UN peacekeepers.

CHINESE AMBASSADOR, MJF-D PRESIDENT HOLD DIALOGUE
Kathmandu, 10 Aug.: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Yang Houlan called on President of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Nepal (Democratic) Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar and discussed matters relating to mutual relations between Nepal and China and the contemporary political situation of Nepal, RSS reports.

Also discussed at length were matters relating to possible future Chinese investment in Nepal and other areas of cooperation.

Vice-president of MJF-Democratic Rameshwar Raya Yadav and General Secretary Jitendra Narayan Dev were present on the occasion.
