RAJU LOHAR, MAIN ACCUSED IN MURDER OF ROSI MAHARJAN ARRESTED


Kathmandu, 16 Aug 16: Raju Lohar, main accused in murder of college student Rosi Maharjan of Kupandole was arrested by police squad from the capital Tuesday from his home in Lalbandi, Sarlahi.
Rosi Maharjan was shot and her body was found in a jungle in south Lalitpur, this month.
Kumar Ghising,who’s on the police wanted list, is still missing.
Subash Upreti, Roji;s disenchanted boyfriend has been arrested.
Police suspect Lohar, Ghising and Sachit Khadka of Thasikhel, of killing Maharjan at the behest of Upreti.
Sachit and another accused Hussein Rai have been arrested for hiding information

MAOIST TERAI LEADER ARRESTED

Kathmandu, 16 Aug.: Jalim Miya, central advisor to the UCPN (Maoist) and chairperson of Muslim Mukti Morcha, was arrested Monday by police in Birgunj.
Miya was arrested to probe possible involvement in murder central chairman of Hindu Youth Association Kashi Tiwari.
Miya was previously charged and jailed for timber smuggling.

DALIT LEADER KILLED IN US VEHICLE ACCIDENT

Kathmandu, 16 Aug.: Dalit leader Subash Darnal, was killed in a car accident ,Monday in Washington DC, reports from USA said.
Darnal was executive director of Samata Foundation and founder president of Jagaran Media Center.
He was a prominent Dalit leader and was a research fellow at University of Stanford.
