MAOIST STANDING COMMITTEE DISCUSSING SITUATION WITH THREATENED RESIGNATION OF PM KHANAL

Kathmandu, 7 Aug.: Maoist standing committee began a meeting to discuss how ICPN (Maoist) should move ahead with the announcement of Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal to resin by 13 August if there’s no resolution of the peace process
The committee is also discussing integration of former Maoist fighters, one person, one responsibility for leaders and other issues.

UPDATE ON SAPTA KOSI RIVER WATER FLOW SURGE

Kathmandu, 7Aug.: The surge in water flow on Sapta Kosi river fell to 186,000 cusecs Sunday morning.
After the year’s highest flow was recorded Saturday evening, danger warning was issued.
