NO BREAKTHROUGH IN POLITICAL DEADLOCK UPDATE
Kathmandu, 13 Aug.:There was no breakthrough in a critical political situation until nine Saturday night despite talks with parties-ruling and opposition.
Ruling parties.UML and UCPN (Maoist) held discussions after a meeting of parties supporting the communist majority government.
The five asked Premier Khanal not to resign and leave behind a political void until the creation of an environment for formation of a national government.
A meeting of the Big Three-Maoists, UML and main opposition—was inconclusive in the first political meeting of the a crucial Saturday for the government chief.
Leaders of the parties dispersed after Khanal’s proposal was rejected for a breakthrough was rejected by two other parties, said Khanal’s press aide Surya Thapa.
