ONE PERSON INJURED IN THAMEL SHOOTOUT

Kathmandu, 30 Aug.: Shital Tuladhar was injured in a shootout with police at Sorakhutte, Thamel, Tuesday afternoon.
Police said they returned fire injuring Tuladhar,
Tuladhar is being treated under watch at a hospital.
Metropolitan police were in search for hostage takers in a ransom bid.

MAOIST FORM PARTY TEAM TO PROBE ATTACK ON LAWMAKER CUM TRADE UNION LEADER

Kathmandu, 30 Aug.: Maoists Tuesday formed a three-member committee to probe this week’s assault on its lawmaker and trade union leader Salikram Jamkattel in the capital.
The party team formed by a standing committee Tuesday is headed Amik Serchan.
The lawmaker suffered head injuries in the assault near Babar Mahal.
