THREE PMs DOLE OUT RS. 290 MILLION

Kathmandu, 10 Aug.: Governments in three years from 2065 to 2068 doled out Rs.290 million to influential leaders, ministers, lawmakers and so-called political as financial rewards and medical expense, Balaram Baniya and Abdullah Miya report in Kantipur.
The money was distributed when Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Madhav Kumar Nepal and now Jhalanath Khanal were prime ministers.
The figure was made available to parliament’s public accounts committee.
The assistance was distributed to persons with access and without convincing reason; money was given to people who even could afford medical expenses, government officials said.
