Nepal asked Maoists ‘to amend a rigid’ stance.
Nepal said the UML stance was adopted judging from ‘backward step’ while Maoists made public this week a five-point proposal on government, peace and constitution drafting to secure leadership of government.

UML Vice-chairman Ashok Rai said the party decided to ask NC for a timetable to complete the peace process for UML support.
The UML standing committee also decided to get NC commitment for drafting the constitution and implementation of an annual national budget presented by the outgong government of Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal.
The five-party of five Madeshbadi parties was still undecided on which party to support.
