VISITING CHINESE LEADER ZHOU YONGKANG HOLDS TALKS WITH MAOIST, NC LEADERS UPDATE
Kathmandu, 16 Aug.: Zhou Yongkang, a standing committee member of Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC), held separate discussions with leaders of UCPN (Maoist) and main opposition NC Tuesday shortly after arrival on a three-day visit.
Chairman Prachanda and Second Vice-chairman Dr. Baburam Bhattarai held talks on behalf of Maoists.
NC candidate for prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba assisted Presidnt Sushil Koirala in the talks with Zhou.
The peace process, constitution drafting, bilateral Nepal-China ties were discussed.
The Chinese side asked party leaders to help curb and anti-China activities in Nepal.

MADESHBADI FRONT TO SUPPORT NATIONAL CONSENSUS GOVT.
Kathmandu, 16 Aug.: A meting of the a front of five Madeshbadi Tuesday decided support any candidate for prime minister elected through national consensus.
The front said it will support a candidate that takes up Madesh issues.
The front had earlier developed an alliance with main opposition with NC to protect and promote democracy.

NEXT UML CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEET 24 AUGUST
Kathmandu, 16 Aug.: A UML central committee meet that was to meet Tuesday will now be held 25 August, the party said.
President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav asked political parties in parliament to elect a prime minister through consensus by 24 August.
UML said Tuesday the party leaders will be busy in talks with other party leaders to elect a consensus candidate until 24 August.

RESULTS 23 AUG.
Kathmandu, 16 Aug.: The results of the Korean language test attended by those aspiring for jobs in Korea, which was conducted under the EPS system on July 22 and 23, will be published on August 23, RSS reports.
Issuing a press release on Tuesday, Department of Foreign Employment said detail information about the results will be placed on the EPS notice board and in the websites– www.epsnepal.gov.np and www.dofe.gov.np.
As per the Memorandum of Understanding reached between Government of Nepal and South Korean Government, some 55,000 youths had taken the Korean Language Tests (KLT) under the EPS system.

NOBODY INJURED IN BOMB EXPLOSION IN LAND REVEUNUE OFFICE IN PARASI
Kathmandu, 16 Aug.: Nobody was injured when a bomb exploded at the land revenue office in Parasi Tuesday afternoon.
The bomb was concealed in a bag placed in the office building.
It wasn’t known who planted the bomb.

PYUSH BAHADUR AMATYA SENT TO JAIL
Kathmandu, Aug 16: Owner of Fulbari Resort in Pokhara Pyush Bahadur Amatya was sent to jail Tuesday by The Kathmandu district court on Tuesday
He didn’t settle a bail fix by the court after he was charged for cheating.
The court sought a Rs 30 million from Amatya and Rs 10 million each from Sanjeev Tuladhar and Rajat Gurubacharya.
Tuladhar and Gurubacharya were also sent tijail not settling the bail
