CENTRAL BODY TO MONITOR RETURN OF ASSETS SEIZED BY MAOISTS

MORE DETAILS OF GOVT. INITIATIVE TO WITHDRAW CASES AGAINST MAOIST IN BIHAR

Kathmandu,13 Sept.: Devendra Paudel, Chief Advisor of the prime minister, said Tuesday government has started political and diplomatic initiatives to withdraw treason charges against 10 then self-exiled Maoists in the state of Bihar.
They were among 11 Maoists caught in the bordering Nepal and sentenced two weeks by Patna high court.
They were charged by the Bihar government.
Paudel said this hours after a discussions between Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai and Indian Ambassador Jayant Prasad.
A committee under the peace and reconstruction ministry will be formed in the capital to monitor if assets seized by Maoists during the insurgency have been returned, he said.
District-committees in all districts will also monitor implementation of a government directive to return assets, Paudel added at a news conference.
Then Bihar Chief Minister Lallo Prasad Yadav withdrew high jacking against NC leader Chakra Prasad Bastola at a court in Bihar to clear his appointment as Royal Nepalese Ambassador to India.
Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, who nominated his nephew Bastola, then countering opposition a hijacker of a RNAC aircraft as aircraft, reportedly replied a hijacker was the country’s prime minister.

PREMISES OF COMPANY PRODUCING MINERAL WATER PADLOCKED

Kathmandu, 13 Sept.: The Department of commerce (DoC) has raided different companies in the capital on Tuesday, not meeting the standard set by the government.

Kathmandu,13 Sept.: Premises of Trishuli Mineral and Beverage in Manmaiju were raided by Department of Commerce (DoC) Tuesday.
DoC padlocked the company and seized sub-standard produce.
