DEUBA TO TAKE HIS MOVEMENT FOR INTERNAL DEMOCRACY IN NC TO VILLAGE WARDS

Kathmandu, 30 Sept.: NC senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba has decided to take his struggle for internal democracy in the party to the level of wards in village immediately after Dasain.
Deuba Friday charged there’s a move in the party to crush dissidents, according to a participant at a meet at the residence of the three time former prime minister.
Deuba was talking to 35 supporters of four sister organizations on a death fast protesting dissolution of executive bodies of the fraternal wings of party.
The senior leader resigned from the party central committee protesting the dissolution ad asked his supporters to call off the death fast..
Deuba blamed Girija Prasad Koirala for the first split in the party and assured we won’t permit a second party split, participant at the meet said.

BRITISH GOVT. TO COMPENSATE FAMILIES OF THE KILLED IN COMPOUND WALL COLLAPSE

Kathmandu, 30 Sept.: British government will compensate families of those killed in the British embassy compound wall collapse, Kantipureports.
Three persons were killed and one person was injured in last week’s earthquake.
The families of the killed will be compensated Rs 400,000 and the injured will get a Rs.100,000 compensation, according to Resham Gurung, convener be concerned group.

CHINA TO ASSIST NAC WITH AIRCRAFT

Kathmandu, 30 Sept.: Preparations are afoot to get eight aircraft for internal flights of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) with Chinese government assistance, Gorkhapatra reports.
China is gifting five 19-seater aircraft and three aircraft with 50 seat capacity are being purchased with a soft loan.
China has asked for a request letter for aircraft by September.
