KOSI RAJMARG RE-OPENED FOR TRAFFIC AFTER REMOVING DEBRIS

KOSI RAJMARG RE-OPENED FOR TRAFFIC

Kathmandu, 22 Sept.: Kosi Rajmarj was re-opened for traffic Wednesday after clearing the highway of landslide debris.
Sunday’s devastating quake measuring 6.8 of the Richter scale—Nepal’s biggest in Nepal in 78 triggered landslides in the eastern region hurling debris on British-built Dharan-Dhankuta highway in the region as well.
Tourists have been asked not to visit Kangchenjunga Naional Park in the region bordering Nepal and Sikkim –the epicenter of the quake because of heavy to highways.
The region was the worst affected damaging hundreds of houses and infrastructure.
Twenty-two of 75 districts were badly affected by the jolt.
