MAOIST CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEET RESCHEDULED
Kathmandu, 8 Sept.: A Maoist central committee scheduled for 18 September was postponed by party office bearers who met Thursday.
Open differences have cropped up between factions in UCPN (Maoist) over decision to handover keys to containers with Maoist weapons to a government committee.
The central committee will now meet 30 September.
The meeting was postponed because of Prime Minister Babaram Bhattarai’s impending visit for New York, Maoist Vice-chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha, who is also deputy prime minister said.

Kathmandu, 8 Sept.: Controller of Examinations Surya Prasad Gautam of the Examination Controller´s Office, Bhaktapur, received an excellent civil servant award Thursday.
Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai conferred the award on Civil Servant Day
