PM ORDERS REINFORCEMENT OF SECURITY

PM REVIEWS SECURITY WITH CHIEFS OF SECURITY AGENCIES

Kathmandu, 7 Sept.: While briefing Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, all chiefs of security agencies, including Nepal Army(NA) reviewed the national security situation
Home Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar and home security and other senior home ministry officials were present at the briefing.
PM Bhattarai ordered security chiefs to reinforce security during the transition.
The premier is also holding a collective meeting with former prime ministers of the post-panchayat era.
He’s scheduled to hold discussions with retired chief secretaries as Bhattarai settles down in government.

MORE LAWMAKERS ARE UNDER WATCH FOR ABUSE OF PASSPORTS

Kathmandu, 7 Sept.: Six more lawmakers are under watch for misuse of passports, Nabaraj Mainali reports in Naya Patriya.
They are from UML, MJFL, MJF-Nepal and MJFN (Republican).
Prakash Pakhin and Hashina Miya of UML, Nirmal Varma of MJFL, Salman Khatun of MK,JN (Republican) and MJF-Nepal’s Ramba Debi Yadav are under watch of Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police.
