NOBODY INJURED IN PRESSURE COOKER BOMB EXPLOSION IN MAHENDRANAGAR

Kathmandu, 14 Sept.: Nobody was injured in a pressure cooker bomb explosion in front of a jewelry shop at Mahendranagar in Kanchanpur overnight.
The explosion caused only slight damage.
Terai Janatantrik Mukti Morcha claimed responsibility.

UML OPPOSES ETHNIC RECRUITMENT IN NA

Kathmandu, 14 Sept.: Discussion on a special political resolution of the UML secretariat to discuss mainly a four-point agreement between Maoists and Madeshsbadi parties is likely to conclude Wednesday at the central committee .
The policy making body will discuss the resolution when it continues for the third day Wednesday.
A resolution is likely to be adopted when all committee members complete their statements.
The resolution presented by General Secretary Ishwor Pokhrel says a proposal in the 4-point agreement to recruit 10,000 people from terai in Nepal Army (NA) to form a separate unit is serious and the party’s attention has been drawn.
The agreement coincides with opposition in the MJFL, the main constituent in the five-party front opposing the appointment of Pahadi defence minister Sharat Singh Bhandari.
Bhandari’s appointment was endorsed by all parties of the front.
A replace hasn’t been announced after Madeshi members of the MJFL headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Party Chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar.
The development in the MJFL means in effect there place for Pahadis in terai while the arty seeks representation in national bodies charging repression and inadequate representation.
