STRIKE AT MANIPAL MEDICAL COLLEGE CONTINUES FOR SECOND WEEK
NEPALI DOCTORS CONTINUE STRIKE AT MANIPAL MEDICAL COLLEGE
Kathmandu, 22 Sept.: More than seven dozen striking Nepali doctors demanding equal pay with Indian doctors continued their strike for the 11th day at Manipal Medical College in Pokhara.
Talks between a team from the capital and hospital management to end the dispute were inconclusive this week.
The talks team of representatives from labour, education, health and health ministries and Manipal authorities to end the strike were inconclusive.

CAMPAIGN TO CLEAR STREETS STARTS WITH FESTIVE SEASON
Kathmandu, 22 Sept.: Kathmandu Municipal Authorities (KMC) and Kathmandu Metropolitan Police (KMC) Wednesday started clearig the capital’s streets of vendor shops with increased movement of people and vehicles coinciding the festive season.
Such street shops obstructing movement of people were removed from Bhotahty and ratna Park.
KMC CEO Dhanapati Sapkota said alternative site for shops will be available at Open Air Theatre and Teen Kune in the capital.
