40 INJURED IN NUWAKOT MINI TRUCK ACCIDENT
Kathmandu, 9 Oct.; Forty persons were injured Sunday
afternoon, four seriously, in a mini truck accident at
Nuwakot at one in the afternoon.
The vehicle driver has been arrested.
The vehicle was heading for Trishuli from Kahule VDC.
Some of the injured have been rushed to the capital for treatment.

SUSHIL KOIRALA SAYS BHATTARAI GOVT. CAN
COMPLETE PEACE PROCESS AND CONSTITUTON DRAFTING

Kathmandu, 9 Oct. NC President Sushil Koirala said the government led by Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, who is also second Vice-President of UCPN (Maoist) can complete the peace process and constitution drafting of it acts responsibly and seriously.
Koirala told reporters in Nepalgunj Sunday UCPN (Maoist) is the largest party leading the government and has it has critical support of NC and UML.
But the leader of the main opposition has the NC’s preconditions for support to government must be met like returning of seized assets.
He said the government had lost its initial momentum.
The party president said he won’t retract a central committee decision to sack executive committee members of four fraternal organizations to form ad hoc committees to hold fresh elections of the bodies.
Senior leader and three-time Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba opposed Koirala’s move.
Deuba is taking the decision down to the ward levels of villages
to garner support for a showdown with Koirala after Dashain.
