ANOTHER MOURNERS’ BUILDING CONSTRUCTED BY DR. UPENDRA MAHOTO HANDED OVER
Kathmandu, 11 Oct.: The construction of the newly constructed mourners’ building has been completed at Pashupati area by the Fulkumari Mahato Memorial Trust, RSS reports.
The building built by the Trust Chairman Dr. Upendra Mahato in memory of his mother Fulkumari Mahato was jointly inaugurated on Tuesday by Minister of Culture Gopal Kiranti, Dr. Mahato and Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) Member Secretary Sushil Nahata.
The building has eight rooms along with bath room and Rs. 25 million was spent in the construction and in repair of ten rooms built by other donors.
Mahato had handed over 14 rooms including bath rooms built at a cost of Rs. 12.5 million in 2062 BS to PADT.
On the occasion, Dr. Mahato handed over the key of the building to Minister Kiranti and then Kiranti handed it over to Member Secretary Nahata.
(Note.: The key was handed over by Dr. Mahoto, a former NHRN Chief ahead of its fifth session in the capital Wednesday. 800 delegates are participating. Another mourners’ building built by Dr Mahoto in the Pashupatnath temple complex along Bagmati river is running.)

MAN KILLED IN KAILALI KHUKRI ASSAULT
Kathmandu, 11 Oct.: A man died in a khukuri attack at Baliya VDC-5 Motipur in Kailali district, last night [Monday], RSS reports from Kailali.
The deceased has been identified as Kamal Dhakal, 23.
Ganesh Gharti, Sher Singh Bista and Khadga Bahadur Bista of Chuha-9, Bamanpur, attacked Dhakal on his stomach with khukuri, when he had gone to watch a fair at Kauwapur of Baliya VDC.
Dhakal died while undergoing treatment at Lalratna Medical at Lamki.
Police have arrested Ganesh Gharti on the charge of involvement in the incident.
The body of the deceased was sent to Tikapur Hospital for postmortem, said police.
Meanwhile, two children of Nepali origin, who had come to visit Mahendranagar from Dehradun of India with their parents, have been found stranded after missing from their parents in Kailali district.
The children are Suman Thapa, 11, and Manoj Thapa, 13, according to the Far-Western Regional Headquarters of the Armed Police Force,
Baidhyanath Brigade, Attariya.
Brigade Commander Mukunda Thapa said parents of Suman are Khadka Thapa and Gyanu Thapa and those of Manoj are Kamal Thapa and Dil Maya Thapa.
The children are now under the care of the Armed Police Force, Lamki, he informed.
