OF FOREIGN WORKERS


Kathmandu, 9 Oct.: Malaysia is preparing to hike salary of
foreign workers, Kantipur reports.
Malaysia is a popular destination for Nepali workers.
According to Nepalese Ambassador to Malaysia Rishiram
Adhikari, Malaysian parliament is preparing to raise the minimum salary in October.
Minimum salary of 800 to 9000 dollars id being announced, he said.
“Nepali workers will get a big relief,” he said.

SITUATION TENSE AFTER RUKUM CLASH

Kathmandu, 9 Oct.: Situation was tense the entire day at district prison Saturday following a clash over a dispute on putting Dashain tika, Kantipur reports from Rukum.
Women prisoner Kamala Oli protested the short time allotted for tika.
Clash broke out following a dispute with a policeman and a woman prisoner who was acting at a spokesperson for the inmates.
Oli was injured in the clash.

33 NSP KAPILBASTHU LEADERS RESIGN

Kathmandu, 9 Oct.: Thirty-three district leaders resigned, including central advisors, of NSP (Rajendra Mahoto), Kantipur reports from Kapilvasthu.
The resignations follow the arbitrary explusion by Mahoto of district chairman Kunjabihari Chaudhary without assigning ay reason, reports Kantipur
