MAOIST CHAIRMAN, PRESIDENT MEET
Kathmandu, 29 Oct.: Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal
called on President Dr Ram Baran Yadav at the Rastrapati Bhawan, Shital Niwas on Saturday, RSS reports.
On the occasion, President Dr Yadav urged the Maoist Chairman to resume the stalled tasks of the peace process and constitution drafting process at the earliest, according to Dahal's aide Samir Dahal.
Similarly, the President expressed concerns over a delay in promulgating constitution in the context that the term of the Constituent Assembly is expiring after a month.
In response, Chairman Dahal said his party was committed to concluding peace process as soon as possible.
Moreover, he gave assurances to the President that the peace process and the constitution drafting process would see a tangible progress within the next few days since the discussions on the issues underway among the parties were heading positively, it is learnt.

INDIGO AIRLINES BEGINS NEPAL OPERATIONS
Kathmandu, 29 Oct.: India’s budget airlines IndiGo Friday began services to Nepal with daily flights between New Delhi and Kathmandu.
The return fare between the capitals of the two South Asian states in Rs. 8,063.
The airline is the newest to start operations to Nepal to benefit
from the booming tourist arrivals as state carrier Nepal Airlines
Corporation (NAC) has failed to cash in on the increasing
tourist arrivals.
But hotels have benefited.
Kathmandu is the carrier’s fifth international destination after
Dubai, Bangkok, Singapore and Muscat.
