Kathmandu, 29 Oct.: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai held further discussions with his party Chief Prachanda and General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa .
Thapa is aligned with First Vice-chairman Mohan Baidya in opposing the handover of keys of containers with Maoist weapons of the insurgency-era to a government special committee.
They discussed the convening a meeting of a sub-committee on resolving differences between major parties on subjects to be included in a constitution to institutionalize a declared republic.
The sub-committee is headed by Chairman Prachanda.
Maoists have shown sudden interest in activating the sub-committee which hasn’t met for weeks as a deadline of complete the delayed by 31 November approaches.
The deadline will be missed for the second time and Prachanda has floated the idea of extending a constituent assembly session for the third time.
The win processes should have been completed two years after constituent assembly elections.
PM Bhattarai held discussions earlier with Speapker Subash Nemwang and hiss own party first vice-chairman Mohan Baidya.
