Kathmandu, 9 Oct. The family of Maoist Chairman Prachanda arrived in
Chitwan to attend the funeral of Multi Ram Dahal, the father of
the Maoist chief, who died overnight in the central district.

UML CENTRAL COMMITTEE NOW MEETS 23 NOV.
Kathmadu ,9 Oct.: A meeting of the Standing Committee of the CPN-UML held at the party central office in Madan Nagar, Balkhu, on Saturday, decided to convene the meeting of the Central Committee on November 23-25, RSS reports.
Earlier the Central Committee (CC) meeting of the party was scheduled to begin on October 13.
The Standing Committee had to decide on postponing the date for the 12th CC meeting as the preparatory works to that connection had not been complete and due to the different festivals, CPN-UML Secretariat Secretary Yubaraj Gyawali said.
The meeting of the standing committee chaired by the party president Jhalanath Khanal also paid tribute to Chandrakala Bhandari, mother of the party’s former general secretary the late Madan Bhandari, who died on Friday at the age of 83. It also expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
