SURVEYORS REACHING ALL SEVEN CANTONMENTS THURSDAY


Kathmandu, 17 Nov.: All 210 surveyors will reach seven cantonments Thursday.
Former PLA fighters from 21 satellite camps have been
asked to come to cantonments to record their preferences for
integration, resettlement or voluntary retirement with a golden handshake.
The regrouping has to be completed by 23 November amid fears the target won’t be met delaying the integration of the completion of the peace process by 30 November.

BINAYA RAJ PANDEY APPOINTED PATRON OF CAN

Kathmandu, 17 Nov.: Immediate past President Binaya Raj Pandey has
been appointed has been nominated patron on Cricket
Association (CAN) of which Jaya Kumar Shah has been
appointed advisor by Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).
Shah is also a founding member of CAN and also a president.
Pandey and Shah were nominated by National Sports Council,
the supreme national sports body to expand the ad hoc
executive committee appointed by the Maoist-led government.
The new CAN committee has been packed with Maoist supporters.
NSC said the ad hoc was expanded for the ‘smooth functioning’ of CAN after Pandey was sacked 26 October.

B DIVISION FOOTBALL LEAGUE RESUMES THURSDAY

Kathmandu, 17 Nov.: Martyrs Memorial Red Bull B Division
League football will begin Thursday.
Matches will be played at Nepal Police Academy, Maharjgun.
All Nepal Football (ANFA) called off the tournament 10
September.

CAPITAL MINIMUM TEMPERATURE 12 DEGREES CELSIUS

Kathmandu, 17 Nov.: Minimum temperature in the capital was
12 degrees Celsius Thursday morning amid overcast conditions.
The capital has received early winter rain this year.
Altogether 3.5mm rain was recorded from one in the morning
Thursday.
