Kathmandu, 17 Nov. A meeting of the Big Three got underway
Thursday in the afternoon as scheduled.
Prime Minister Babaram Bhattarai is present at the summit of UCPN (Maoist), NC and UML to discuss differences in passing a government resolution in parliament Friday to amend the interim constitution for the 11th time to form an experts committee to form a federal state.
Differences in parties broke our Wednesday.
NC and UML met before the summit to develop a common approach.
Parties also held separate meetings.

NC ASKS LAWMAKERS TO VOTE FOR 11TH AMENDENT
OF INTERIM CONSTITUTION FRIDAY
Kathmandu, 17 Nov. Main opposition NC issued a whip Thursday and asked its lawmakers to compulsorily present at one in the afternoon and vote for the 1tth amendment of the interim constitution Friday.
Janajatis across party lines and Mohan Baidya faction in UCPN (Maoist) have raised objections to the formation of an experts committee
to draw up a new federal structure.
The responsibility was to be given to a state restructuring commission in an interim constitution.

149 DAMAGED POLICE OFFICES YET TO BE REPIRED
Kathmandu, 17 Nov.: As many as 149 police offices that were damaged during insurgency in Mid-Western Development Region are yet to be reconstructed, RSS reports from Nepalgunj..
According to the Mid-Western Regional Police Office, among the police offices damaged during a decade-long conflict in the region, only 28 of them have been reconstructed till date.
The Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction has reconstructed 20 police offices and eight others were reconstructed from the internal source of the police.
Additional 15 police offices are under-construction this year, said DIG Parbati Thapa.
The security condition in the mid-western region has been improving as compared to the past though complications for the peace and security were seen for lack of filling the vacancies of personnel, said Thapa.
