Kathmandu, 14 Nov.:AITAHARI , NOV 14 - General Secretary of the CPN-ML CP Mainali has claimed that the current government could not be transformed into a national government as it was formed on the basis of “anti-national agreement”, RSS reports from Itahari.
Talking to media persons in Itahari on Monday, Mainali stressed on formation of a new national government including major political parties of the country to build peace and constitution.
Mainali further said the Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai's dual character has ended the justification of the government, and added that a jumbo Cabinet has been formed against the agreement of building national consensus government and curtail the government’s expenditure.
He also warned that the Nepal Army will be transformed into a front of ethnic organizations if any community or ethnic groups are included collectively into the army.
Mainali objected to the view of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar to recruit ten thousand people to the Nepal Army from the Madhesi community collectively, he added.
He said the government's recommendation for clemency to UCPN (Maoist) lawmaker Bal Krishna Dhungel will not be acceptable for them at any cost, and the government should withdraw it immediately.
Mainali was here to participate in the three day- Eastern regional level workers training of his party.
